Who We Are
This website started in 2004 as a conversation between Camille [Campos] and Reid Young.
After getting married, they realized that a second source of income from Camille's beautiful art would be great.
The problem? Hardly any decent websites for independent artists. Or at least, hardly any websites which looked good and sold to the kind of audience which would be
interested in Camille's bold, colorful designs. Camille and Reid began planning and designing Artistorm in spring of 2005, spending one entire night just trying to
come up with a suitable name. The site design brewed in Reid's Powerbook for about 6 months, tempered by 40+ revisions before it finally reached the form you see it
in today.
Going into his final semester at Purdue University's Computer Graphics Technology program, Reid decided that the only way he was going to finish his enormous undertaking
was to make it his senior design project, which he did.
Greg Bosma,
Naveen Nattam,
Laura Rodrian, and
Adam Tornes signed on to the team, and the development of Artistorm began, borne by countless meetings, discussions,
and stupid jokes.
